The Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge in Alviso has multiple environments available for bird viewing. There are ponds where waterfowl gather, as well as islands which host cormorant and pelican populations. There are also marshlands with shorebirds, and a garden with local plants.
